Head Designer of Alvina Valenta Bridal, Alvina Maids and Ti Adora Bridal Collections.
As a little girl growing up on a horse ranch in Oregon, few would have guessed that Jessica Williams would one day be designing bridal couture in New York City. Fashion was hardly a factor in the idyllic countryside where she was raised, but she found herself sketching page after page of beautiful dresses and envisioning the kind of woman who would wear them. As a child, Jessica was taught to sew by both her mother and grandmother, a skill she would strengthen constructing clothes of her own, sharpening talents that would later become vital to her career.
Years later, having just expanded her world view with a semester abroad in Japan and working toward a degree in Political Science, Jessica signed up for a costume design course and soon after decided to volunteer as a seamstress in her university theatre's costume shop. This return to her creative roots triggered a call to fashion design that was too loud to ignore. After earning her Bachelor's degree with honors at a small liberal arts college in the Pacific Northwest, Jessica boldly threw herself into her life's passion and enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. After graduating, she took a design position at St. John Knits, a job that would invigorate her passion for eveningwear and gowns.
The time spent honing her skills at St. John coupled with a whirlwind tour of Europe eventually led Jessica to NYC and her first foray into the bridal design world working with Priscilla of Boston.
Through this unconventional path to the world of bridal couture, Jessica is now the head designer for Alvina Valenta Bridal, Alvina Valenta Bridesmaids, and Ti Adora at JLM Couture. She has infused the classic, feminine Alvina Valenta aesthetic with her own distinctive, refreshing and contemporary point of view, breathing modern romance into the collections. Jessica has become well known in the industry for her ability to appeal to today's bride with fresh styling of classic, clean lines and sophisticated silhouettes. Her creative insights bridge the gap between sexy and sweet, creating gowns that are the perfect balance of timeless elegance and effortless chic.
As a wedding gown designer, Jessica recognizes that she creates gowns that will live forever in the bride's heart and she loves the challenge of creating pieces that will stand the test of time. She designs dresses that highlight each woman's distinct personality by accentuating her highest, most luminous self.
