We love Monica and Ben’s charming rustic lakeside wedding, and how they were able to incorporate sentimental touches every step of the way. The couple was kind enough to share their video and touching story with us – we hope you love it too!
My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer shortly after Ben and I were engaged. Although we had not made any wedding plans yet, I knew I wanted my mother with me when I found the dress of my dreams. We went to Raffine in Stillwater, MN and my mom selected several gowns, but all along I knew which one I wanted – I saved it for last. When I came out in the gown (Jim Hjelm 8011) my dad started to tear up-that was all it took for us to know that it was the one. I absolutely love it and could have tried on 100 more and not found something so perfect!
Julia and Kenny wanted their wedding to reflect a “crisp, clean, modern glamour”… so the bride chose a Tara Keely gown – style 2853 – and a color palette of white, platinum, black, and hints of green throughout.
Kenny and I were married on a most beautiful Saturday in May 2009 at the historic Calhoun Beach Club in Minneapolis, MN. We wanted the day to really reflect us as a couple and incorporate what was most important to us. (more…)
Nicole (who wore Tara Keely style 2917) and Christopher were married on a chilly February Sunday at the legendary Cà d’ Zan mansion (part of the Ringling Brothers museum) in Sarasota, FL. The mansion, known as “the last of the Gilded Age mansions”, reflects all the romance and decadence of Venetian Gothic architecture. “I loved how the look of our location made it seem like we were in some other country.” (more…)
It was a beautiful ceremony! We were married in Nevada’s oldest Catholic church, so it felt special to be surrounded by such history while saying our vows in front of our family and friends. My Godmother played the organ and I was so excited to walk down the aisle in my beautiful Alvina Valenta gown. I felt amazing. Luke’s in the Army, so we started our new life together with a kiss under the ‘saber arch’. (more…)
I can honestly say that my wedding gown found me… my wedding gown was the first and only dress I tried on. The minute I had it on I just knew “this was the dress for me”. The luxurious fabric and delicate embroidery was so unique, yet had a traditional look with a modern edge to it. I can only describe it as “romantic” and that became the theme for my wedding. (more…)
