Our wedding day started on a cold teeth chattering Sunday in November. I’ve always wanted to have a winter wedding and choosing 20-11-2011 as our date was an easy decision. It was -18 and big white fluffy snow flakes weren’t in sight. Despite the weather outside, our wedding was filled with heartfelt warmth from our loved ones – past and present.
The instant I put on this Lazaro dress, I knew it was the one, after the amount of dresses I had tried on I never thought I’d get that feeling.

Our formal evening wedding took place at Belle Mer in Newport, RI. I always knew I wanted a classic, formal wedding and this glamorous oceanside setting was the perfect place to mix classic romance with modern elegance. The bridesmaids’ dresses were the inspiration for the soft color palette of lavender and white, and the flower detail on the girls’ dresses coordinated with my gown perfectly. The clean white decor at Belle Mer provided a perfect backdrop for the lavender, metallic and crystal details we carried throughout the venue. Zack and I could not have asked for a more perfect day! All the girls loved the color and fit of the dress and it was so easy to wear. It was a flattering fit on all 9 bridesmaids, including one girl who was 6 months pregnant at the time of the wedding. I would highly recommend this dress to anyone looking for a light, easy dress for a summer wedding!

Our wedding was fabulous! The one day we both could be surrounded by all of our family and friends- it was the most incredible feeling. My mom and I did all the flowers for the big day- my mom is a florist and we had such a blast planning and designing the look for our wedding. The evening was filled with dancing, socializing, and lots of happiness! If I could, I’d marry Matt all over again today. Playing on the colors blush and bashful (Steel Magnolias, y’all!), the couple, along with A Plum Perfect Affair, planned a wedding that would be as sweet as the Carolina air. Britt paired her lace gown with killer accessories like her gold heels, feathery bouquet and an embroidered handkerchief that she inherited from her grandmother. The two said their vows at First Presbyterian Church before making off to the reception at the Historic Hotel Concord. Britt’s mom arranged a special appearance from the Carolina Panther’s mascot, Sir Purr, who had everyone dancing all night!

I had a vision of what I called early on “vintage meets modern romance.” I knew from day one I wanted grey. All ten of my girls wore JLM Couture. After 6 years together, we finally said ‘I DO’. Our wedding took place in the lobby of Portland’s Gerding Theatre. The setting made for a great mix of Urban sophistication, with added details like crystal and jewel tones to soften the space. I loved turning the cool, industrial feeling venue into the elegant affair I had always envisioned for my wedding. I will look back at this day for the rest of my life as the PERFECT day… I couldn’t have imagined anything better.

It was beautiful to watch the priest who had married Sam’s parents, and baptized Sam, officiate their wedding ceremony. Sam looked incredible; her wedding dress with sweetheart neckline, beaded bodice, and layered, ruffled skirt was so stunning! The bridesmaid dresses were one of our favorites to date, a modified mermaid with gorgeous neckline in the color “Sunset”. They were spectacular! The couple’s reception was held at Weymouth Country Club in Medina, OH. The wedding was planned and designed by Shi Shi Events.

Dan and I love being outside with family and friends and we really wanted our wedding to reflect this. Our wedding planner, Meagan Gilpatrick of Maine Seasons Events, did a wonderful job weaving the ‘rustic chic’ feel into our wedding day. Our photographer, Sharyn Peavey, captured the day so beautifully and naturally! I wore this short JLM dress at the reception – it was perfect for dancing! It was an amazing day with so many loved ones. I wish we could do it all over again!

Steve and I were married November 6th, 2010. We met October 2004 and that one moment changed everything… we had decided to have an elegant wedding with a tattoo inspiration. Our ceremony was overlooking a gorgeous golf course at the Champions Gate Omni. After the I-do’s we watched butterflies be released in my Papa’s honor. From there we went and took many pictures with Chad Pilster. It was an amazing day, and without everyone dressed in the styles and colors we choose, it wouldn’t have come together so perfectly.

We were married at Serenbe, a sustainable farm resort in rural Georgia. We rented the entire resort to create an intimate weekend affair for our guests with many scheduled activities. The weather was flawless. The ceremony was held in a field under a fully bloomed lilac tree while a classical guitar played. I was barefoot, carried peonies, and wore a birdcage veil. The reception was under an open-air lakefront pavilion with an 8-piece Motown band. A firework show finished the night. My dog was in the wedding and wore a flower made from lace from my gown.

After saying their ”I dos” in view of the famous Cinderella’s Castle, guests were escorted to a cocktail hour in ECPOT which provided an amazing view of the fireworks show exploding over the skies after which a grand reception with a formal dinner was held. The night ended at one stroke past midnight after an evening of wining, dining and dancing and as the fairy tale goes… they lived happily ever after.

My husband and I picked our venue, the Lily Barn, first, and after that everything fell into place. We wanted the flowers to feel a little bit wild like Tennessee and the attire to feel a little bit vintage like the barn. My ’30s-inspired lace sheath by Lazaro hit just the right note of old world romance and elegance. I loved that I wore the same designer as my older sister had to her wedding. It felt like a tradition worth building.
