Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans in September 2005. The aftermath forced me to leave my family and friends and transfer to a school in Dallas. I met Bryan there my first day. When he smiled at me, I felt happy for the first time in weeks. Our love grew and has survived moves all across the country. Five years after the tragedy that started it all, Bryan proposed on a beach in Mexico. Our story has been one of heartbreak turning to joy, and proof that fairy tales do exist.

After trying on quite a few wedding gowns, I realized I would be a Lazaro bride. I fell in love with the bodice of one dress and the skirt of a second dress. Thanks to Lazaro, I was able to get a unique custom-made gown that I absolutely LOVE and it was perfect for our Mid-Summer Night theme wedding!

I knew who Steve was when I was in middle school, he was the most popular boy in school. As fate would have it, we were both going to college in Santa Barbara, CA and bumped into each other on the street. He asked me out for six months before I finally said yes. We dated for close to two years and decided to go our separate ways. No matter where life took us or what relationship we were in, we stayed in communication and now ten years later we are married and know we married our best friend. We added a sash to my dress. The applique was made by Tatiana of Tatishotties and my Mom made the sash and attached the applique to it.

We planned our wedding in Philadelphia because we love the classic beauty of the city. We got ready at the Omni Hotel at Independence Park and had our wedding ceremony at 2:30 pm at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on 3rd and Pine streets. Our reception was held at The Down Town Club at 6th and Chestnut streets later that evening, overlooking Independence Hall. We honeymooned in the South of France for the three weeks following our wedding.

Daniel loves the country while I’m a city girl at heart. Our wedding really represented our personalities. It was elegant and romantic with a Texas kick. We were so happy to be celebrating our love with all of our family and wonderful friends. We got engaged in the big apple. We wanted to some how incorporate NYC into our wedding and my dress did just that. I brought NYC to Texas. My dress was enchanting and when I tried it on just knew it was the one. It was love and my sash was the icing on the cake!

Steve and I were married on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in August 2011 at StoneTree Golf Club. After exchanging vows in a private ceremony, we celebrated our special day with friends and family at our dinner reception. Every detail of our wedding was perfect and a true representation of us. Our amazing venue, beautiful flowers and my gorgeous Lazaro gown created an environment that was contemporary with a rustic charm – a lovely reflection of our style. We enjoyed every minute of our wedding and look forward to creating more wonderful memories together.

Nothing short of stunning was the wow factor my mom and I felt when I pulled back the dressing room curtain and walked out in my Larazo bridal gown. This was love at first sight! We discovered the dress on one of the worst days in Nashville history – the tragic 2011 flood in Nashville. Getting to the dress shop was a bit of a challenge but we put on our rain boots and made it to see this amazing dress. The gown fit in perfectly with our French country chic wedding set in an outdoor cathedral in Nashville.

I was never someone who fantasized what I wanted my wedding to be like however, when I started to plan it everything came together pretty organically. We just wanted everyone to feel like they were at an old 1930s supper club. I wanted my dress to reflect this theme as well but I didn’t want vintage nor anything that looked costume-y. When this Lazaro dress was brought out to me I knew that it was a bold choice but also felt like old Hollywood glam!

We had a traditonal black tie wedding in Tampa, FL. When I began shopping for a wedding gown I knew that I wanted something very bridal and big! I was looking for something that was traditional with a modern twist, something unique and different. I instantly fell in love with this gown. I loved the intricate beading of the bodice and the softness and texture of the skirt. It had all of the elements I was looking for and could felt like an absolute princess on our special day!

We loved every second of the wedding planning! We all fell in love with the Venetian in Garfield, NJ so we knew we wanted a black tie wedding with lots of flowers and crystals! Dress shopping was my favorite part of the planning process, and I could not have found a more perfect dress for our winter wedding!
The wedding weekend was absolutely perfect! From the weather too food, we can truly say we wouldn’t have changed one thing about our wedding. We are so thankful to our parents, friends, and amazing vendors for making our dreams come true!

I had a vision of what I called early on “vintage meets modern romance.” I knew from day one I wanted grey. All ten of my girls wore JLM Couture. I thought it would be fun to let them choose their own styles, and it was so much fun! Each woman looked amazing in a style that matched her own body and personality, and together they formed a beautiful, cohesive group. Our day was filled with so much love, laughter and fun. It was better than we could have ever imagined! And my rehearsal dinner dress was a Jim Hjelm Occasions dress! The bodice was Ivory and the skirt was Graphite Silky Taffeta.
Megan’s bridesmaids wore Jim Hjelm Occasions bridesmaids dresses style 5947 , style 5021 , style 5027 , style 5030 , style 5069 , style 5137 , style 5184 , Alvina Valenta bridesmaids dress style 9072 , and Lazaro bridesmaids dress style 3081 , all in Graphite Silky Taffeta. Dresses were purchased from Hannelore’s , in Alexandria, VA and Jeanette’s Bridal , in Manassas, VA

Erik and I met in June of 2010 and were engaged on October 16, 2010. Erik and I choose The Breakers Palm Beach because I was from Florida, and as we toured the venue we both knew it was the perfect atmosphere to say our vows. On April 23, 2011, our wedding exceeded any fairytale version I’d ever dreamed about . We danced the night away in the Mediterranean ballroom with rose petals dripping from the ceiling, and a towering cake! My Lazaro gown looked like it was made of feathers and was a perfect fit for the enchanted reception!

For those of you who know me, this will not come as a surprise. Since most of my family and best friends are out of town, the first time I tried on a wedding dress I was by myself. I had 2 months before September 24th…when those closest to me were coming in from out of town to help me find THE DRESS! I wanted to select the dress while they were in town but did not want to feel pressured to make a decision without having researched my options! So in preparation, I built a 15 page PowerPoint of all the contenders categorized by store and style. I even had a must try on for fun category. We thought we had narrowed it down to the final two and it was time to try on the fun dress. I was not expecting a “this is the dress” moment. But to my surprise, that is exactly how I felt in this dress. I had a huge smile on my face in the dressing room. I knew this was the one. When I walked into the salon, everyone came immediately over to me to admire the dress. I fell in love with the contemporary style of Lazaro, the intricately beaded top and flowy lightweight bottom that made it easy to wear. A dress is truly special when people not only admire how phenomenal the dress is, but the dress does not distract or overpower the bride herself. It was such an amazing dress that even during photos when it got all muddy, by the time we got to the church, it had dried and all the mud fell off!!
The dress was too gorgeous to just put in a box for the next 30 years, so as hard as it was to take scissors to it, I had it altered for events such as charity events, NYE and our first anniversary! Thank you to Beata Holub for turning my dream wedding dress into something I not only will cherish forever but can wear as well. Thank you also to my Aunt Ann, who not only made this dress a reality, but who appreciated my PowerPoint and agenda, and helped create our own Say Yes to the Dress moment to cherish forever. I love you!
We tied the knot in Cartagena, an enchanting city in the Caribbean coast of Colombia, our home country. Cartagena was the perfect setting for a traditional Latin American wedding, the ceremony took place at Iglesia Santo Domingo, the oldest church in the city, followed by a formal reception for 150 guests in a beautiful colonial house. I wore a Flamenco inspired bridal gown by Lazaro, and complemented it with a long sleeve lace bolero and 2 feather hair flowers. Our photos are simply beautiful and it is a day we will remember forever.
Our wedding day was beautiful. Although there were over 350 people, it still felt very intimate. The reception took place at the Croatian Cultural Center. Floor-to-ceiling draping graced the walls with elaborate orchid arrangements for centerpieces on elegant damask linens.Bridesmaids accompanied the bride in their slim fitting graphite dresses

We wanted a unique, glamorous, modern, and romantic wedding. I know that’s a lot of adjectives, but our wedding hit each one out of the park! To set the tone, we of course had to choose a unique venue – The Liberty Hotel in Boston. Between my knockout Lazaro gown, my bridesmaids’ elegant Alvina Valenta dresses, our gleaming decor, the sensational flowers and a ton of love, we definitely achieved something glamorous, modern and romantic, too. 11/5/11 was better than I could have imagined!

Trump Soho was our wedding venue, I knew my wedding dress should reflect the same modern luxury.
I was forced into an early dress scouting trip since my Mom was in-town. The only definitive no I gave my consultant was “no beading”. She ignored me and brought in several dresses.. This Lazaro dress was #5 and I immediately fell in love. I tried on 3 more and then announced I was done. I knew which one I’d be wearing on my wedding day.
I’ve never felt prettier than on the day of my wedding. The modest train allowed me to feel like a princess for the ceremony and with the bustling, I was able to enjoy the party and dancing at the reception.

Eric and I got married on July 2nd at Eric’s parents’ home on Cape Cod. We had an outdoor ceremony and reception, and were fortunate to have just the most beautiful weather on the day. I wore an ivory Lazaro dress with a sweetheart neckline and antique-inspired beaded belt. The dress reflected my personality and style perfectly. The quality and design of the dress was unparalleled, and I felt like a true princess on the day. This paved the way for a fun-filled, eventful day, and the most memorable occasion to date.

Nick and I were married in beautiful Newport, Rhode Island in September. The ceremony was at Trinity Church, one of the oldest and most historic churches in Newport. The reception was at Belle Mer overlooking the Newport Bridge and Narragansett Bay. It couldn’t have been a more beautiful day shared with our family and friends!
I always envisioned myself in a lace wedding dress however as soon as I stepped into the Lazaro ballgown I knew it was the one. I truly felt like a bride!

Mat and I imagined a romantic, rock n roll, fantasy wedding that would tell our love story to our 200 guests. For a theme, we agreed that the 1986 fantasy cult film the Labyrinth starring David Bowie was exactly the enchanting look we wanted for our wedding. So while searching for my gown, I had the elaborate dress Jennifer Connely wore in the film in the back of my mind. As soon as I tried on my intricately designed Lazaro gown, and my mother saw me, we both knew it was the right dress. I’m quite petite (only 5’1), and Lazaro’s delicate gown really accented everything I wanted it to. At our wedding, I felt more beautiful than I ever have before and it truly was a magical night.
Mackinac Island, MI, United States
My husband and I met in L.A., but we’re originally from Michigan. We chose to get married on Mackinac Island because it’s a very special place that highlights all the beauty of our home state, especially in autumn. We wanted a vintage feel, and Mackinac has incredible history. There are no cars, so our guests took bikes and carriages, which added to the old fashioned charm. We chose to have a very personal, intimate wedding; we wanted it to be a weekend party with our nearest and dearest. From start to finish it was everything we dreamed.
