Cincinnati, OH, United States
Dave and I met the very first day of college at Miami University of Ohio. We immediately became close friends, and regularly saw each other in our shared co-ed dorm. By mid-October, we were dating. Almost 6 years later, Dave proposed at Miami under the Upham Arch, where legend states “if you kiss your true love, you will marry and the bond will never be broken”. We were then married on May 17, 2014 in Cincinnati Ohio.

Wayne and I got married in a beautiful historic home that predates the Civil War. This house, now named Twelve Oaks, was Margaret Mitchell’s inspiration for what the Twelve Oaks Estate should look like in Gone with the Wind. The weather was perfect on our May 3rd date and the guests enjoyed a perfect Southern evening, complete with mint juleps and dancing under the stars.

We got married at the Carnegie Library in Washington, DC. The vintage and romantic feel of the all lace Jim Hjelm gown went perfectly with our location and theme.

We were married on a beautiful day in June at a forest preserve in Libertyville, Illinois. It was so amazing getting to see everything come together after a year and a half of planning. One of the best moments of my day was after I was all done getting ready was the reaction on Joey’s face when I saw him for our first look before the ceremony. My dress fit in perfectly with the romantic and rustic vibe that the nature preserve gave. My bridesmaids wore a Jim Hjelm Occasions bridesmaids dress that tied everything together perfectly!

We dated in high school for a short period of time and both went our separate ways. About six years later, we ran into each other in New Orleans and the rest is history. He included our beloved dog, Beau, into the proposal by dressing him up in a bow tie with an engraved tag that asked, “Will you marry me?” Our wedding was pure bliss and felt so much love being surrounded by our closest friends and family!

TJ and I met while working together one summer. I knew within the first couple months of dating TJ that I would marry him someday. Five years later he finally proposed!
We decided to get married at Walkers Landing, a beautiful venue overlooking the marsh in Amelia Island, Florida. We were blessed with perfect weather on our wedding day!
I was so excited for TJ to finally see my dress. My favorite part of the day was squeezing his hands while we exchanged vows. We had an amazing celebration and I will never forget how special I felt!

Jesse and I met through a mutual friend, so we wanted our wedding to be all about love, fun and friends! We wanted it to be a big, fun party so we made sure the tunes were going all night long. We vacation every year in Hawaii and wanted to bring the casual vibe of the tropics to the desert! Our guests were treated to an ice cream bar with several different flavors of gelato and ice cream with all the fixings to go on top. Everyone had so much fun, they are still talking about it!
Milwaukee, WI, United States
The two of us met in high school, and have been inseparable ever since. We dated about 9 years before tying the knot in late May, and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day in Milwaukee. We knew everyone was waiting for this day for a long time, so we really focused on throwing a great party for our guests who came from 13 different states! When looking for my dress, I knew Hayley Paige would be my perfect match. She has a flowy, romantic style I instantly connected with.

Courtney and I were married on November 3, 2012 at Sunset Key Guest Cottages a Westin Resort in Key West Florida. (our favorite place on earth!) A romantic beach wedding was the feel we were after. Lace, navy blue, pale pinks, and starfish were incorporated throughout our wedding. Our favorite part of our wedding was the cocktail hour on a catamaran during sunset. A perfect day in paradise if you ask us.
Topsfield, MA, United States
We got married in my husband’s family church in Peabody MA and had our reception at the beautiful Willowdale Estate in Topsfield MA. It was an elegant and classic affair, we couldn’t have asked for a better evening, with the cool breeze through the tent at night to the gorgeous mansion accessible for our guests to have coffee and cake and enjoy the candy bar, it was truly everything I imagined and more!

Our wedding day was more than I could ever ask for. Brooks and I decided to marry where his parents did at St. John’s Episcopal Church which was truly special to us. We had a two year engagement which gave us more than enough time to plan out the perfect wedding and for me to find such a stunning gown. We had our reception at the Cork Factory Hotel which brought together a romantic and rustic style. It is a day we will always cherish! Bridesmaids wore Jim Hjelm Occasions.
Punta Cana, KS, Dominican Republic
Bobby and I met at an opening day tail gate party for the Cleveland Indians. We dated for four years before getting married at a destination wedding in Punta Cana in a tropical, Carribean paradise. We had 30 guests attend our wedding, which was held at the fountain at the Now Larimar Resort. I guess you could say we hit a home run!

Soon after becoming engaged, I visited a bridal salon to try on dresses just for fun. We were more than 2 years from our wedding date and so the appointment was simply to celebrate the engagement. I chose a Jim Hjelm dress to try on first and I knew the moment I put the gown on that it was my wedding dress. Twenty-two months later, I married Joe in my beautiful Jim Hjelm gown that was everything I never knew I wanted for my wedding dress!

Cape May, NJ, United States
I have been going to Cape May every summer since I was a little girl, so it is very special to me. Our venue, The Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May provided a naturally beautiful venue to gather family and friends and inspired our nautical theme. We then added our own preppy finishing touches.
My gown was the capstone of the preppy, nautical look. I had so many people say that the gown was a true representation of me, but in gown form. It was so unique, but classic at the same time.

Shopping for my dress took time, but immediately when I saw the beaded intricate details of my Lazaro dress I just knew it was the one. It was the dress I had always imagined wearing walking down the aisle on my wedding day.
My husband and I were married in our home town in a vintage catholic church followed by celebrating the night away with family and friends at the Rialto Square Theater. it was more perfect than I ever dreamed it could be.

Our wedding was truly the happiest day of my life! We had always talked about getting married in Hawaii because I am from Texas and he is from Australia, so it just made sense. I wanted a more traditional, yet whimsical wedding and found the perfect venue, Haiku Mill, which is an old sugar cane factory. All of our guests were in awe when they walked in – priceless. It was all a dream come true! The dress, what can I say it was perfect and the first dress I tried on. Thank you Hayley Paige!
La Jolla, CA, United States
Four years after we began dating, we said “I do” at Estancia Resort La Jolla. Although the wedding day was truly magical, it was a bittersweet event. Unfortunately, Dave’s father passed away a year earlier, and moments before the wedding Dave’s best man- his brother, was unable to attend due to the arrival of his first child. Although there may have been loved ones missing, it was the perfect day because at the end of it, Dave and I were husband and wife! I have never felt more beautiful than how I felt on my wedding day.
Rochester, NY, United States
Our wedding day was perfection. From the golf course, the weather with sun shining down on us, and our friends/family surrounding us. My dress was a fantasy and I want to thank Jim Hjelm and Susan Deborah in Rochester, NY for making my dream come true.

Our wedding day was the most joyful start to our lives together that we could’ve imagined! Surrounded by our closest family in friends, we wed in a garden on Whidbey Island, a beautiful island near Seattle. I loved the neckline of the dress, its beautiful fabric, and the lace detailing along the bottom. It’s classic yet modern, a dress that will still be considered beautiful when I look back on our wedding photos years from now!
Molly wore Alvina Valenta style 9002.

Wedding planning for Haddon and I was no fairytale! We changed venues, states, and vendors at least three times in the process, not to mention I had five wedding dresses before finding the perfect one! But at the end of that day, the 11 months of planning were all worth it – we were married to each other and everyone we loved was there.
Detroit, MI, United States
Brendan and I have been writing our love story for over ten years, so when it came time to plan our wedding, I had dreamt up worlds of ideas to choose from! Dress shopping was number one on my priority list, and I already had a style and designer in mind. I went straight for Alvina Valenta and never looked back. Although our wedding didn’t have an official theme, it definitely followed suit to the gown, timeless with a touch of vintage and a lot of lace.
