We met at Boston College and have been together since. From Boston to New York, North Carolina to Chicago, East Hampton has been our constant happy place, so it was only fitting that we got married there! Because it is such a special place, we wanted to be sure that we shared all of our favorites with our guests and make our wedding feel as 'us' as possible. What better way to do that then have our reception in the backyard of my family's home?! We wanted it to be a backyard wedding with a beach feel, and our dream came to life! When it came to picking a dress, I didn't have a vision - I just believed I would know it when I tried it on and that is exactly what happened! My mom, sister, and I were doing a little retail therapy and my sister said,"Why don't you try on some wedding dresses?!" Alex and I had a long engagement, and we were still over 1.5 years out from the wedding date, but I said,"Sure, why not!?" Ellie, my sister, (not knowing it was the Ellie dress) took a dress off the display saying she thought it would be a great fit, and it was PERFECT. It was the first dress I tried on, and I knew right then and there that the Ellie Dress was the dress I would be wearing when I walked down the isle. When we looked at the tag, we realized it was called the Ellie dress and the price of the dress was the address of our family home (!!) - FATE. I believe in the universe sending signals and these couldn't have been more apparent. The Ellie dress was my fairy-tale dress. Family and friends have described it as 'me in a dress form', and I couldn't agree more! Thank you for making the dress of my dreams <3
