Insane happiness and love was captured in the photos of the best day of our lives!! So happy to have shared our wedding day with our best friends and family at a beautiful winery in Grand Bend, Ontario, at Dark Horse Estate. Our ceremony was to begin at 3pm in the afternoon, but unfortunately it rained all day up until that very time. The whole time while I was getting ready in a room full of windows, I could see that it was continuing to rain and I was a bit nervous about deciding whether to move the wedding ceremony inside or not, so I kept the mimosas flowing! I was quite disappointed when I realized that my perfect vision of a ceremony in the vineyard would have to change on the fly; however, I was so excited to get married that I didn't let this ruin my day. When I realized that our ceremony would now be held in the winery's barrel cellar room, I got even more nervous knowing that I would have to walk down a flight of stairs in my blue heels. Thankfully I managed to keep my composure and kept a huge smile on my face. I married my best friend and had the celebration of a lifetime with all of our favourite people that could join us. The party was amazing and we ended the night with my husband's best man and his wife, along with our other close friends who live in our neighbourhood. In a note that was left for me when I was getting ready, my husband had informed me that a limo would be picking us up at the end of it all to bring us back to the inn that we would be staying at. After our limo didn't show up on time and we had waited as well as called the company and realized that they forgot about us, we decided instead to wait with our friends outside of the estate for a cab. Because the estate is out in the country, we waited for quite a while. Since we were on cloud nine and had quite a bit of liquid fuel in us as well, we started to take some silly photos with the 'dark horse' status that is outside of the front doors. We ended up with some pretty hilarious end of the night photos that we hadn't anticipated. In the end, we finally managed to 'wrangle' up a cab and the six of us climbed in and made our rounds while I was still glowing in my sparkly Hayley Paige gown!
