Haley and Dan

By the time our wedding day rolled around we had been together for almost seven years and engaged for three of those years.

We got engaged at Disney's Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella's Castle during the "Wishes" fireworks celebration on 05/04/2016. It was everything I could have hoped for and I felt like a true princess. Dan had known how special Disney was to me, as my grandfather used to take my family there every year before he passed, and I was shocked that he was able to pull off a surprise proposal in one of my favorite places! It had down poured all day long but we braved the storm and just as it was getting dark enough to get ready for the nightly parade and fireworks the rain had stopped. By now, many of the guests had cleared the park which allowed for us to get an up front and center spot to watch both the parade and fireworks. It was truly magical! During the opening segment Dan tapped my shoulder and got down on one knee. It was a moment I will never forget.

As luck would have it, the day of our wedding it down poured the entire morning and we were forced inside due to weather. Shortly after our ceremony the rain started to let up which allowed for us to capture some great pictures outside. As coincidental as it was, now every time there is a storm we are reminded of both our engagement and our wedding day.
