Durell and Hannah

A dancer from DC and an actress from Ohio found themselves pursuing their careers in New York City. They both began attending The Brooklyn Tabernacle church and soon thereafter, joined the award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. For some time, they noticed one another from afar until one day he got enough courage to ask her on a date. It was on February 16th, 2013, that he took her to a Thai restaurant and to see an off Broadway show at the Joyce Theater. Little did they know, this evening would be their last "first date". Over the course of 22 months, they enjoyed countless movies, Broadway plays and musicals, walks over the Brooklyn Bridge, road trips out of the city, and shared numerous meals together (he even tried sushi for the first time). But most of all, through the laughter, tears and at times difficult days, they grew to become best friends and, ultimately, fell in love. On Christmas morning of 2014, during their vacation in New Zealand, surrounded by her parents, siblings (and Old Saint Nick), Durell Ronald Comedy got down on one knee and asked Hannah Elizabeth Seymour to spend the rest of her life with him. With tears in her eyes and a coffee in her hand, she said yes to the man God had intended for her all along. On September 5th, 2015 they were married at their church in Brooklyn where they first met and had nearly 700 people standing with them on their special day. The sun was shining on that beautiful September afternoon as the new Mr. and Mrs. left the church and walked to take pictures near the Brooklyn waterfront, overlooking the glorious Manhattan skyline. Surrounded by taxis, thousands of people and the fast paced hubbub of city life, time stood still. They danced the night away at a local barbecue joint where they had their dinner reception. The hours passed and the night came to an end with a brilliant explosion of white rose petals as they walked hand in hand out of the restaurant, hailed a cab and drove off to enjoy their first night of forever.
