We got engaged during a five day trek to Machu Picchu is the spring of 2016. We began planning the wedding quickly thereafter and had already purchased the gown and booked a destination venue in Greece with some close family. Only two months after, we found out we were pregnant with our first child. All plans were off and we decided we would start the planning process and get married after our son was born. Fast forward to being four months pregnant and we both concluded that we would actually prefer to be married when our son arrived. So very last minute we called our immediate family and asked if they could join us on Christmas Eve in NYC so we could be married. They must’ve thought we were crazy, but all agreed; we were married Christmas Eve 2016 at Grand Central Station. Our son was born healthy and has been the happiest baby we could’ve ever hoped for. We still wanted to celebrate our marriage with friends, family and our son and had a large reception on October 14th 2017. It was such a fun stress-free day that was made so special by the presence of our little boy.
