Lauren and James

We met six years ago in Lakewood, Ohio. I was out with a group of my friends and didn't realize that night would change my life. I met this handsome man, that I now get to call my fiancé. Our first date was at Cheesecake Factory at Crocker Park. We had some drinks, talked for hours, and couldn't even eat. We actually closed the place down. He made my heart race from the very start, and I knew that day I found someone very special. We started dating shortly after. We have made so many fun memories together. We love doing things together like working out, riding bikes, playing sports, watching movies, hanging with friends and family, waterparks, playing with our cute little puppies, Lola and Mia, and we love to travel. We've been to Indianapolis, Chicago, Michigan, South Carolina, Punta Cana, and Cancun. I can't wait to see more of the world together. Everything changed on Saturday February 17, 2018. We go to the Lincoln Ball every year, and were planning on going that night. He wanted to go to a fancy dinner just me and him before we went and met up with friends at the ball. I didn't think anything of it. So we went to XO Steakhouse in downtown Cleveland. Our dinner was so romantic and absolutely amazing. After dinner he wanted to walk to the casino to meet up with our friends. So we started walking and I didn't realize it was a good distance away and it was absolutely freezing, and I was wearing a ball gown and high heels shaking to death. I just grabbed on closer to him while we walked the rest of the way. We got up to public square by the skating rink. I was looking around when all of a sudden he stopped. I looked back at him, and there he was with the ring. I couldn't remember everything he said, but I do remember him saying " I want you to be my best friend and my wife for the rest of my life" as he got down on one knee. That night he made me the happiest person alive.
