Sarah and Kiet
My now husband, Kiet, wanted to do a destination wedding right away. He loved the idea of the beautiful scenery, the tropical weather, and having the wedding feel like a vacation.
What convinced me was that having our wedding away from home, would keep our guest list small. The idea of a large wedding never appealed to me. Once we decided on the Bahamas, I was very inspired by pictures of the water and sky and knew I wanted my color scheme to reflect that. I wanted my wedding to feel classic, dreamy, and timeless. My dress definitely helped me achieve that, and it fit every criteria I was looking for. The blush undertone was even more beautiful in person!
Hands down, the reception was our favorite part of the wedding. The ocean view was breathtaking and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how it felt like being in a movie. The scenery was so cinematic and even though our photos are amazing, they really can’t capture the scale and colors of being there.
It was also so much fun to just dance and laugh and be present with our guests! I felt so much love and gratitude for everyone that was there.
Another up side of having a destination wedding was that we could continue celebrating together after the reception ended. We enjoyed reliving the entire day under the stars at the pool.
