Kelsey and Kyle
We met while living in the same building and working for the same company. I used to walk the three miles home from work and Kyle drove past me one day, realizing he recognized me from his apartment complex. A few days later he asked if I needed rides to work and within weeks of spending our commute together and hanging out a few times, I knew he was the one. Although we have different versions of how things moved forward (he thinks he pursued me but I know it was the opposite), we shortly became inseparable. Four years into our relationship, we were spending the week in Northern Wisconsin at my family's cabin when he asked me to go watch the sunset with him, distracted by my nieces I told him maybe another time. He seemed very disappointed when I said no so I agreed to go to the dock. Thank goodness I did because Kyle proposed to me there in front of my whole family and in the exact spot I had dreamed of getting engaged. Fast forward a few months and it was time to plan our wedding. I had always watched Say Yes to the Dress with my mom so before he proposed I knew I wanted to wear a Hayley Paige gown. The first gown I tried on was the Halo gown by HP and although I always thought it was crazy to buy the first dress, that is exactly what I did. The lace on top felt so romantic while the horsehair trim made the dress more fun and dreamy - it was perfect. After more than a year of planning, our dream day arrived and it went perfectly. I wish I could wear my Halo gown every single day - I've never felt more feminine or beautiful than I did in that dress. I'm not going to lie, I even cried a little when I had it preserved knowing I wouldn't be able to put it back on whenever I wanted.
