Lindsay and Mario

Mario and I have grown up together and have been together since 2002. We moved to New York from San Diego in 2010 for our careers - Mario works in the restaurant industry at Le Bernardin and I am a fashion designer (having worked for multiple houses/brands).

Our first date: We went miniature golfing and took photos in a photo booth, it was September 22nd, 2002 my 16th Birthday. From that day forward we became inseparable high school sweethearts. That night Mario asked to hold my hand and has continued to over the past 15 years!

The Proposal: After living in Brooklyn, New York together for the past six years, Mario "finally" proposed at Heartwood in Tulum, Mexico. Mario had the chef Eric Werner create a tasting menu for us, he waited for the tables to clear, leaned across the table, held my hand and talked about the significance of our relationship. Mario then proposed with a custom designed ring (designed by izaskunzabala)
that included my grandmothers diamond in the center. It was a heartfelt moment and we were both crying.
