Victoria and Nick

Nick and Victoria both attended Western Canada High School in Calgary, Alberta (along with ~2,200 other kids) but would not first meet until the spring of 2008, nearly the end of grade twelve (she was just too cool for him). It was a typical high school house party, 40 odd teenagers hanging out in the empty basement of our friend Jackson's house. He noticed her, she was stunning, and she noticed him, he was obnoxious. Despite their unfamiliarity, they managed to strike up a conversation centered around her friend Katie knocking Nick's friend Dave onto his back with a clean right cross (sorry, Dave). From there, their interest in each other grew and they continued to talk and hang out through the end of grade twelve and the preceding summer.

By chance, both Nick and Victoria went on to attend the University of Victoria and ended up living in the same residence building only two floors apart. A fact that neither of them had known until a week prior to moving, and a coincidence that our parents still question to this day. In the fall of 2008 they started officially dating and the rest is history!

After nine years together, Nick asked Victoria to marry him on September 30, 2017, at Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. It was a chilly fall day but the lake was filled with bus-loads of tourists, and one nervous Nicholas. They sat out together next to the lake enjoying the scenery while Nick truthfully was building the courage to pop the question. Despite the cold weather, and Victoria's multiple comments of being cold, it would take Nick nearly 30 minutes to finally propose.

On June 30, 2018 after nearly a decade together Nick and Victoria had the most incredible day celebrating their love and their marriage along with their family and friends. The setting at the Lakehouse in Calgary, AB was incredibly romantic. The wedding was everything they could of dreamed of.
