Shane and Ashley
Shane & I wanted a place that was historic and near water so we could have an outdoor reception. Cooperstown is close to where I grew up, so it was a perfect place to have both of our friends and family join us. We were married in a church from the 1880's at the Farmer's Museum. Our reception was on the grounds of Hyde Hall, which is a neoclassical mansion built in 1817. The mansion overlooks the beautiful Otsego Lake. We even got an opportunity to take pictures inside Hyde Hall which is now a museum. More than 200 friends and family joined us for a feast and Primetime Horns helped us dance the remainder of the evening away. It was a truly picture perfect day and our photographer did a wonderful job capturing it.
When picking my dress, I was actually looking at different styles of Jim Hjelm. It was the owner of the bridal store that had this dress in mind for me! I gave her a few details about our wedding and she asked a few questions about me and this is what she chose. I loved the detail, color and how the metallic crystal shimmered on the bodice. The silk chiffon fell so delicately and was very light. The circular skirt and sweep train added a beautiful detail to the dress and that was one of my favorite parts! It was a truly beautiful, unique dress that was perfect for our wedding day.
