We met in high school but did not date until after college. When he asked to officially date on NYE 2010, I thought if I was lucky enough, I’d be with him forever. At the time, I was in Austin applying to law school. I attended University of Houston, where we grew up and now call home. He proposed mountaintop in Vail, CO. We married 5 weeks before graduation. Our first dance was “Lucky” by Jason Mraz.

Our wedding was held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Portsmouth, VA. The reception followed at The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, VA. Our florist Palette of Petals was incredible at creating the warm, elegant, and ritzy look. Our colors consisted of ivory, taupe, gold, and silver. Lighting was provided by Astro DJ’s which helped set the ambience. Our guests danced the night away to the band Tidewater Drive. We ended the reception with a sparkler exit. Our photographer, Will King, did an amazing job capturing our magical day.
