Our wedding was a beautiful and classic San Francisco day; full of fog! We would not have had it any other way in our city by the bay. We were blessed to be surrounded by our family friends in our church ceremony at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church. We wanted our wedding to be timeless and simple and on my search for my dress those were the words I used. When I found my dress I knew instantly that it was the one for me. It made me feel beautiful and I was literally glowing.

Doug and I got engaged last May and began wedding planning pretty quickly. We decided on a winter wedding in the Grand Ballroom at the Intercontinental Hotel Chicago, and I was dress shopping soon after. My Tara Keely 2200 was the third dress I tried, and I loved it from the second I put it on. On 2/16/13, we had over 200 loved ones from coast to coast celebrate with us and dance the night away. From the venue, to the flowers, to the band…we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding!

On a beautiful sunny day in August in the North West of Ireland, myself & Johnny made our vows to become husband & wife in Doobally Chuch surrounded by all our family & friends. We then drove in a white vintage Beauford convertible to Co.Donegal where we had our reception in the beautiful Lough Eske Castle. I felt like a Princess all day in my Tara Keely ballgown. Our son Ryan had such a great day and even done a reading for us at the church asking God to bless his Mom & Dad. Everything was perfect just how i always imagined it.I wanted everything to be girly, princess and fairytale like.

This Tara Keely dress was the first I found online and tracked it down to a store in Chicago. I kept going back to this dress and it was perfect for a long walk down the aisle in the beautiful Rockefeller Chapel at the University of Chicago. We had the reception at the Chicago Yacht Club at sunset which gave us amazing photos!

I knew I wanted our wedding to be unique to us, and when we first visited Highland Springs Resort I knew it was perfect. I wanted the rustic outdoors to be intertwined with a vintage feel, and as for my dress, I wanted romantic and lace. Stephen and I met and married 5 years later on his birthday, 3/24. I was living in Boston, MA and he was on tour for work. We later moved to Portland, OR in 2010 and we feel so blessed that family and friends from around the globe came to celebrate our union. Our wedding day was full of meaningful accents and DIY charm: birthday bunny cake, flower design by my sister, professional lighting and sound, homemade and home found decor, pinball and standup video games. It was SO much FUN! Most of all, our day was ALL ABOUT LOVE. As for our bridal party, we asked ladies in the bridal party to wear jewel toned dresses of their choice. The gentlemen in the bridal party were asked to wear charcoal pants and a baby blue button up. We gifted them a pair of teal suspenders to wear. A friend of ours made up a design based on the lace pattern of my dress and silkscreened this pattern onto tote bags for the ladies and ties for all the guys. Our boutonnieres were felt snowflakes with beaded accents, since we love the snow.

Brian and I met through a friend and got engaged 8 months afterward. After a 1 year engagement the day finally came and even though I wasn’t controlling every detail, everything went smoothly. It was a small southern themed wedding with everything from brisket to corn bread. The food and close family atmosphere made all 42 guests feel at home. Our September wedding at the Mattress Factory Art Museum in Pittsburgh, PA, truly was everything we had hoped it would be and more. I fell in love with my dress as soon as I saw it online. Unfortunately, none of the stores in Pittsburgh carried it. I tried others on over the next few months, but nothing compared to this dress. So, I traveled to New York City for the Tara Keely trunk show at Kleinfeld. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. It was worth the wait!

Moments before my father and I walked down the aisle, we both took an ill-fated step, and he accidentally ripped a 6-inch hole in my train. We both stared at each other, but what could we do?
